Make a cake-like potato salad.


Hello everyone.

Today’s dish will be “Potato Salad,” the king of potato dishes.
Many people have introduced the potato salad recipes, but I will introduce how to make a slightly stylish.

This dish is recommended as a dish when people gather, such as at a home party.

Let’s start with the ingredients.

・2 potatoes (400g) 
・1 slice bacon (30g) 
・1/2 cucumber (60g) 
・4 eggs 
・1/4 lemon 
・1 tsp salted raw pepper (if any)  
・3 tbsp cream cheese 
・3 tbsp mayonnaise 
・Prosciutto 30g (for decoration) 
・Lemon zest a little 


Cut the bacon into 0.5 cm dice.
Cut lemon into wedges.
Thinly peel and finely chop the lemon.
Cut the prosciutto into pieces about 2 cm wide and roll them one by one into a rose shape.

Add enough water to soak the eggs in a pot, add 1 teaspoon of salt (not included in the amount), and boil for 14 minutes.
After boiling, cool in ice water, peel the shell, and separate the yolk and white.

Use kitchen paper to remove the water from the egg whites.

Cut the cucumber into 2 mm slices, sprinkled with salt (1/4 teaspoon), and leave for 3 minutes.
Rinse with water and remove water with kitchen paper.

After washing the potatoes, wrap them in cooking paper while still wet.
Wrap it gently in plastic wrap and heat it in the microwave (600W) for about 10 minutes.

Peel and place in a bowl.


Add stir-fried bacon and cream cheese to ③, squeeze the lemon and add.
While it is hot, mash it with a wooden spatula and mix it.

When cools down, add mayonnaise and salted raw pepper and mix.

Adjust the taste with mayonnaise and salt if you like.


Spread ➄ in a cercle shape and place the cucumbers in ② on it.

Place the egg yolk and egg white that have been strained with a colander in order, and decorate with prosciutto rose.

Finally, sprinkle the chopped lemon zest on the roses of prosciutto and it’s done.


 When laying it on the gateaux mould, be gentle and light!
If you spread it lightly, it will look like a sponge dough, but if it is strong, it will have a heavy taste.

Cream cheese, stir-fried bacon, lemon juice while hot!
If you crush the potatoes while they are boiling and hot, and mix them with other ingredients, the taste will become familiar and soft and fluffy texture .

If you divide it into small pieces using a wine glass instead of using a gateaux mould, you will have a cute impression without the hassle of dividing them.
