Hello everyone.
The dish I’m going to introduce today is steamed sake using clams.
However, this time I use neither sake nor wine.
It will be steamed clams using Korean makgeolli.
In the end, I will introduce how to make not only clams but also somen noodles.
Let’s start with the ingredients.
Ingredients ・300g clams (sand removed) ・100g somen noodles ・150ml Makgeolli ・1 serrano pepper ・2 green onions ・1 piece of garlic ・10g butter ・1/2tsp hot pepper flakes ・1 tsp sesame oil

Prepping ingredients

Boil somen noodles, drain and serve in a bowl.

**
Cut the serrano pepper into diagonal slices, cut the small green onions into small pieces, and slice the garlic into thin slices.
1.
Put butter and sesame oil in a frying pan, add garlic and fry until the aroma comes out.
2.
Add clams, makgeolli and serrano pepper to high heat.

3.
When the clams are cooked (about 2-3 minutes), turn off the heat, put the clams in a bowl, turn on the heat again, and simmer until the juice is halved.

4.
Season with salt and pepper, add hot pepper flakes and green onions and turn off the heat.
5.
Sprinkle the boiled juice over the clams and serve somen noodles.

You want to drink white wine or raw makgeolli, right?
